Data Deletion Policy

At Amigo Build LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable data protection laws.

1. Your Right to Deletion

Under GDPR (Article 17 - Right to Erasure) and CCPA, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. This includes:

• Account information (name, email, profile data)
• Projects and all associated content you created
• Collections, items, decisions, and inspirations
• Comments and messages
• Usage data and activity logs
• Any other personal information we hold about you

2. How to Delete Your Account

2.1 Self-Service Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is through our self-service option:

1. Log in to your Amigo Build account at app.amigobuild.com/login
2. Go to Profile Settings
3. Scroll to the "Delete Account" section at the bottom
4. Click "Delete My Account" and confirm your decision

Note: This action is immediate and irreversible. All your data will be permanently deleted.

2.2 Email Request

If you cannot access your account or prefer to submit a written request, you can email us:

• Email: legal@amigobuild.com
• Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
• Include: Your registered email address and any details to help us verify your identity

We will process your request within 30 days as required by GDPR.

3. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

• Account Data: Your profile, email, password, and authentication credentials
• Projects: All projects you created and own, including all collections, items, decisions, inspirations, and files within them
• Comments: All comments you have made
• Activity Data: Login history, usage analytics, and activity logs
• Subscription Data: Payment history and subscription records (note: Stripe may retain transaction records per their privacy policy)

4. Data Retention After Deletion

After you request deletion:

Timeline	Action
Immediate	Your account is deactivated and data becomes inaccessible
Within 30 days	All personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems
Within 90 days	Data is removed from backup systems

4.1 Exceptions

We may retain certain data as required by law:

• Transaction records for tax/accounting purposes (up to 7 years)
• Data required for legal proceedings
• Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (not personally identifiable)

5. Shared Projects and Collaborations

If you collaborated on projects owned by others:

• Your comments on others' projects will be deleted
• Your access to shared projects will be revoked
• Content you created within others' projects may be retained by the project owner, but will be disassociated from your identity

6. Before You Delete

We recommend taking these steps before deleting your account:

• Export Your Data: Download any projects or files you want to keep
• Cancel Subscription: Active subscriptions will be cancelled automatically, but you may want to verify
• Transfer Ownership: If you have collaborators who need continued access to your projects, transfer ownership first
